Japanese Castles Were Built To Show The Lord’s Power

There are many castles in Japan, where local lords resided, were built beautifully and gorgeously to show the lords’ power and dignity. Especially beautiful Himeji castle was designated as a world heritage site. The lords governed their domain like present day governor and the shogun controlled these lords nationwide.

Hidden castle secretes

The purpose of main purpose was to protect attacks from enemies. So, they are big and durable, built on a hill or surrounded by water, having a castle tower on the top to observe their domain and enemy invasion. Many tricks are hidden to protect the lord. Even the enemy was successful break the gate, it is laid out difficult to advance further.

Tricks to defend till the last place

The enemy can’t go straight as it is a square, except one corner, rounded by high buildings, where soldiers are waiting to shoot them by guns. Even the enemy successfully turn the corner, the other tricks are waiting one after another till the top tower, lord’s last escape place. Some castles hid food stuff on the wall for just in case.
